"Save Ferris" - Acrylic Paint / 16x20 / 2003

2/3 of the Chicago Collection

This is the second installment of the "Chicago Collection".  I apologize for not having a picture of the finished product, but I guess these two pictures will just have to do.  As a huge Cubs fan, it was a blast to paint Wrigley Field.  In case you're wondering why these paintings are called the "Chicago Collection" -- other than the fact that they're all landmarks of Chicago -- they were commissioned by my friends from college, Andy and Katie (who happen to live in Chicago -- so I hope that ties everything together).

When I was commissioned to paint this, there was only one major request -- that I put "Save Ferris" on the sign in front of Wrigley Field.  If you've never seen "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", you're probably really confused, but if you have seen it, then you may recall seeing the Wrigley Field sign, reading this.  Definitely a fun addition to the painting.
