"Heisman Troy" / 18" x 24" / Watercolors

This is a painting of freshly crowned Heisman Trophy winner, and Ohio State quarterback, Troy Smith.  Troy put together one spectacular 2006 season, and although he and the Buckeyes came up short in the BCS Championship Game, this painting remains a tribute to all that Troy Smith has done for OSU fans out there...lead us to the promised land -- and beat Michigan, once again.

As you can see in the photos, from left-to-right, the progression of the painting.  On the far left, you can see I've added mostly "outline" detail.  In the middle photograph, you can see I've started to fill in some of the jersey with more color and some initial shading.  I've also started to add some color and detail to the helmet and helmet awards.  The far right photo shows even more progression, as I've added more facial detail and shading.

I added some initial coloring and shading to Troy's left hand, and will add more color and shading as that part of the painting progresses.  In the photo on the far-right, you may be able to see the subtle changes I've made to the painting.  I've added a bit more shading to his facial area, and have added some more shadows to his jersey (focus around his sleeve and the small #10).  Hopefully it adds some depth and a 3-dimensional, realistic look to it.

Finished Product

In the photo on the far left, you can see I've added more detail and shading to his jersey, and have added more color to his left arm and hand.  On the far right, you'll see the "finished product".  Still not sure when the prints will be available, but for those of you who "pre-ordered" your copy, you'll be the first to know!  Thanks for stopping by!
