Artist's Notes
This painting features 2011 NCAA National Champion wrestler, Anthony Robles.
The painting measures 20" x 24" and is an original watercolor painting on stretched canvas. This was my first venture into watercolors on canvas, so I was really excited to start the project...not to mention Anthony's amazing story from being born with one leg to his journey to reach the summit of his sport.
Currently the painting is being exhibited at the National Art Museum of Sport (NAMOS)as part of their College Athletics and Academic Excellence: A Fine Art Exhibition. It will be on display from Nov. 2011 - Feb. 2012 and then move to the NCAA Headquarters from March 2012 - July 2012.
