Autographed Originals

Both pieces, at right, are watercolor paintings, and both measure 18"x24".  The Chad Billingsley painting, titled "LA or Bust" was autographed this past season at a signing with RSD Collectibles -- while Billingsley was still with the Dodgers AAA team, the Las Vegas 51's.  The Prince Fielder painting, "Brewer Prince" is not autographed at this time, although  I do hope to have it signed sometime in the near future.

"Brewer Prince"

(Prince Fielder)

"LA or Bust"

(Chad Billingsley)

The painting featured on the left, is a watercolor painting of Colorado Rockies 3rd base prospect, Ian Stewart.  The painting measures 18"x24" and features Ian in the uniform of the Rockies Single-A team, the Modesto Nuts.

The painting on the right is a 16"x20" acrylic painting of Chicago Cubs pitcher, Mark Prior.  Mr. Prior was nice enough to sign the painting in the fall of 2003, when the Cubs were in town to play the Reds.  Go Cubbies!

"Destination: Coors Field"

(Ian Stewart)

"Promising Debut"

(Mark Prior)

At left, you'll see a painting of Justin Verlander, a watercolor measuring 18"x24".  Justin was named the 2006 American League Rookie of the Year, and also received numerous votes for American League Cy Young and MVP.  He has a very bright future head of him.

A 12"x16" acrylic painting of Zack Greinke is pictured on the right, here.  And, as you can see, it's autographed by Zack.  He should be a big part of the Royals resurgence in the coming seasons, so keep your eye on him.

"Motown Mow-Down"

(Justin Verlander)

"Greinke '55"

(Zack Greinke)

Jeff Francis is the subject for the drawing pictured on the left here.  The drawing measures 9"x12" and is double matted and custom framed.  After a solid '06 campaign, I would look for Jeff to take another step towards becoming the "ace" of the staff for the Rockies for years to come.

Although Brandon Wood (featured at right) has yet to play a Major League game, he's already well-known for his capabilities -- especially after the prolific season he put together in 2005.  He's been rumored to possibly move to 3rd base once in Anaheim, but either way, I'd expect him to be an "impact" bat for the Angels very soon.

The paintings at right, are both oil paintings, and both players are now in the same organization -- the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.  After a trade with the Dodgers, Joel Guzman joined a very talent-laden, but very young team in Tampa.  At 6'6" he will likely end up playing either 1st base or a corner OF spot, but should provide enough offense to justify playing more anywhere on the field.

The painting on the right features one of the most highly anticipated prospects to come along in the sport of baseball for quite some time.  And, will almost certainly live up to the "hype" that's been generated since being selected #1 overall in 2003.  This painting, measuring 12"x16" was autographed by Delmon while playing for the Charleston RiverDogs during the 2004 season.

"Not-So-Short Shortstop"

(Joel Guzman)

"The Young & the Powerful"

(Delmon Young)

On the left is my first oil painting, featuring NBA phenom, LeBron James.  Even with all the attention surrounding his arrival in the NBA, 'Bron has met every challenge thus far that has been placed in front of him, and I would expect him to get better every season as he becomes the best player in the NBA for a long time to come.

The painting on the right, titled, "2nd to None", features Milwaukee Brewers 2nd baseman, Rickie Weeks.  With perhaps the quickest hands in baseball, Weeks brings a very potent bat to the front of the line-up for the Brewers, and should continue to improve his defense each season as well.  This painting was autographed by Mr. Weeks at Price's Collectibles in  Wisconsin during the 2005 season.

"Hail to the King"

(LeBron James)

"2nd to None"

(Rickie Weeks)

Although both paintings pictured at right are watercolor paintings, only one, obviously, is completed, unfortunately.  At left, is a painting of Oakland A's closer, and 2005 AL Rookie of the Year, Huston Street.  I have yet to finish this project, as a number of other projects with more of a "deadline" have managed to delay it's process.

On the right, is my first watercolor undertaking -- a painting of Cubs prospect, Felix Pie.  Signing at a very young age, and producing at a very young age in professional baseball...it's been no secret what abilities Felix possesses.  If Pie doesn't lock up the CF job this season for the Cubs, I would look for him to do so almost definitely by the '08 season.  Felix autographed this painting at a signing with RSD Collectibles.

"One Way Street"

(Huston Street)

(IN PROGRESS)

"The Five-Tooler"

(Felix Pie)

The painting pictured, at left, is, unfortunately yet another "in-progress" painting.  Like the Huston Street painting, more pressing things have pushed it back a bit since starting it.  Being a life-long Ohio State fan, the 2002 National Championship was a dream come true for this Buckeye fan.  This painting is my way of paying tribute to the players that helped make that dream a reality that season.

Another painting that's very near and dear to my heart, is pictured on the right.  "The Best" -- I couldn't think of a better title for anything describing Dan Marino.  His numbers show it.  Maybe not his Super Bowl wins, but his numbers are undeniable.  Mr. Marino autographed this painting at the Football Spectacular, run by Triumph Sports.

"Best Damn Team in the Land"

"The Best"

(Dan Marino)

On the right is a 12" x 16" watercolor painting of Cincinnati Reds prospect, and #1 rated prospect in all of baseball (according to Baseball America, 2008), Jay Bruce.  I actually sent this painting off and had Mr. Bruce sign the original during an autograph signing with Tri Star Productions, before the painting was finished -- which I normally don't like to do.  However, under the circumstances, I didn't want to pass up the wonderful opportunity to have Jay sign the original.

Big Leagues"

IN PROGRESS

In the right-hand column, you will see another watercolor painting.  This time, featuring Pittsburgh Pirates prospect, Andrew McCutchen.  The painting measures 9" x 12", and is autographed by Mr. McCutchen with black Sharpie.  Andrew is extremely talented, and will, no doubt, help to rebuild the Pirates franchise in the very near future.

"Mac"

(Andrew McCutchen)

Featured, at right, is an oil painting of San Francisco Giants up-and-coming superstar pitcher, Tim Lincecum.  The painting measures 12" x 16" and was signed by Mr. Lincecum with a silver Sharpie during a signing with Lefty's Sports Cards.  Tim is a future All-Star, and even quite possibly a future Cy Young Award winner.  He's a tremendously gifted young pitcher, and someone, if you don't know about yet, you will sometime very soon.
