Artist's Bio: Jason Yoder
Fit to Print
My name is Jason Yoder, and I'm an artist...more specifically, a sports artist. Although I currently call the Cincinnati, Ohio, area home,
I grew up in a small town in Northwest Ohio called Hicksville. And, before you ask, yes, that IS really the name of it. As you would imagine, Hicksville is a rather small town, but depsite it's lack in numbers (population around 5,000), I love
my hometown, and wouldn't trade where I grew up, for anything in the world.
After graduating from Hicksville High School in 1995, I attended the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!) in Dayton, Ohio, where I received my BA in Communication in 1999. Although I didn't take any art classes in college, I've drawn most of my life, and have always had a love for art. Painting actually started completely "on a whim" for me in 2001, and things have just progressed from there.
My paintings vary in size and medium, and I'm proficient in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Being a huge sports fan...well, a "sports nut" by most standards, I can't think of anything I enjoy painting more than sports.
